Ducklings are surprisingly bouncy and would almost definitely be completely unharmed by a 12 foot drop. Those that do are too young to leave the nest and are usually blown out of the nest by high winds or a growing sense of curiosity.
This man didn’t really do anything other than get the smell of humans on the ducklings, which can result in the mother rejecting them.
Nice action shot.
hahahaha way to be a debbie downer
birds actually have a fairly poor sense of smell.. so its unlikely that the mother would reject the ducks after this incident.
Way to go. We have a Mother and 8 babies coming every day in our yard for some birdseed and bread. They are one month old now and almost as big as the mother. It does hurt to help them out.
